Sailboat in Arrábida
It is time to board a 42 feet sailboat in Sesimbra for the an amazing time in the coast of Arrábida enjoying overwhelming landscapes, including some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, like Portinho da Arrábida or Galápos. There will be plenty of time to drop anchor and swim in these clear sea waters. Most probably, in some of of the sailing we’ll have company. Currently several dolphin groups live in this estuary and are usually seen.
Depending on the duration of the sailboat ride you choose, there may be some spare time to visit Cabo Espichel or the Christ statue on the way back to Lisbon.

Sailing in Arrábida coast

Cabo Espichel
The visit to Espichel Cape is always special while passing by the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Cabo Espichel, the peculiar Chapel and the amazing views. But it is worthwhile a brief walk to Pedra da Mua where you can see dinosaurs footprints 145 million years old and the impressive view to Lagosteiros Beach.
Christ statue
Christ, the King, Sanctuary opened in 1959.
The statue of Christ is 28 meters high but the whole monument reaches 110 meters which clearly provides some of the most amazing views towards Lisbon, Setúbal region and as far as Sintra and Cascais.
